A cinnamon broom, Pumpkin bread, flavorful soups, crusty bread straight from the oven, and the musty warmth of chimney smoke.  Fall smells wonderful.  Yes, even in sunny Southern California we indulge in the morning mist brought inland from the Ocean, and cooler evening temps.  Who can resist Autumn?

I can't decie what I love most about the Fall... the seasonal flavors that come out of our kitchen, giving us a little more insulation for the coming winter month...

I'm writing this post from my son's bedroom floor.  He has been struggling with night terrors and simply can't close his eyes peacefully without one of us by his side.  So here I sit, encouraging him without words... just by my nearness.
